New beginning and Second Chances and wicked awesome smiles!

Im back with my 4th and hopefully last blog attempt. Im hopefully, no i am in a happier place in life in many many years. I honestly know who i am. I know what i want and what i dont want in my life. I have a goal that is attainable. Im not currently where i want to be in life, but i will be there. Although i am dead broke again after this week, im not too concerned. Bills are starting to be paid. I just got a letter in the mail from the first credit card i paid off. Its being taken off my credit report. Thats a very good feeling. Achievement. Now im ready for the second and third and so on.

So i heard on the Opie and Anthony show the other day, that Joey Vento of the famous Philadelphia Genos Steaks Home of the Philly Cheese Steak is being sued. Well apparently he posted a sign in his window that said "This is America, when ordering please speak english. Well of course Minority organizations in Philly were in an uproar because immediatly they thought this grandson of an italian immigrants was being racist against them. The Human Relations committee of Philadelphia is sueing on the basis of being descriminatory against a nationality or ethnicity. Ive got 2 words for them BITE ME! Thank god Joey hasnt cowed to them and taken his sign down. Its just another nasty side of the immigration debate and slowly but surely all our rights will be taken away. A little extreme am i?

You're baiting me, aren't you?

I wonder how big a tip it would take to get him to serve me if I went in there and ordered in Spanish. Everyone gives up their principles when money is thrown at them (especially if they're stupid principles). Regardless of where I'm from or how I talk, if I've got money, and you own restaurant, I give you money, you give me food. That's capitalism, and THAT'S truly American.

And as I said before, if they don't know English, they can't read the damn sign. Turning unsuspecting people away like that, when there's a language barrier involved, could potentially cause some really ugly misunderstandings, and it's not going to bring out the prettiest side of human nature.

I'm thinking of one storyline in Crash (you want to start that debate up again now?)

Lastly, if we're in America (we're all Americans, right?), maybe we should all adopt the tongue of a native tribe. I don't know exactly where my ancestry lies, but I think I'll go with the Algonquin language of Maliseet Passamaquoddy.
English was not born here, and it has no more claim to this land than any other language.

Hey, that was better - got my energy back. You're up.

Fuck that. When people flash money at me I scoff at them. I do! It pisses me off even more! Money doesn't buy me or my service. And, if it buys you... You should be ashamed! Go Joey!!

As far as native languages go, I'm all for that.

No, I'm not bought that easily either. Because I don't buy into all of the consumerist crap. Just saying that if he's so freakin' patriotic, he should be a money-hungry bastard, because it seems like that's what being an American is all about.

But how nice for him that he can afford to discriminate.

And I think it's pretty sad that he's making MORE money off of this... he wouldn't get my business even if I would eat a cheesesteak.

Ahh, being patriotic is not about being money hungry at all. You think Europe doesn't have money? Or Canada? Why don't we go to a poor country and tell them that they should be "patriotic" and happy about the shithole they live in. They'd probably spit in our faces. And besides, who doesn't like money? If you say you don't you're full of it.

One last thing to my dear Kristen. You like American Idol right? That show is probably the worst offender of capitalism (in a bad way). Simon treats people like shit and gets paid big money to do it. Talk about greed and "patriotism"! Well, so does that dude in Philly. People eat that shit up. Always have, always will.

You want money. We all want money.
